Monday's 2. Bundesliga match between Hertha Berlin and Alemania Aachen didn't have much action. Except for the moment Hertha midfielder Peter Niemeyer earned the nickname "Breast Wiper."
In the 55th minute of the scoreless draw, Niemeyer went to pat referee Bibiana Steinhaus on the shoulder without looking. This proved to be a mistake, though, as she was farther away than he thought, resulting in him brushing his fingers across her chest. Understandably confused by what just happened, Steinhaus looked at Niemeyer and laughed, as did the match commentators, post-match pundits and pretty much everyone else who saw it.
Incidentally, this was Steinhaus' first live TV game as a referee in the second division. And now it will forever be known as the match in which the Breast Wiper was born.
